Jonathan Wilson's new one, "Fanfare," is already out on CD and Vinyl. Several notable guests on this one, including Jackson Browne, David Crosby, Graham Nash, and J. Tillman. One quick listen, and this sounds like a very worthy successor to "Gentle Spirit." The Laurel Canyon vibe is there, but he stretches out a little more on this one.

I caught him supporting Tom Petty in London last year and really enjoyed his performance. (It always good when a support act who you don't know comes on and your not looking at you watch!)

Enjoying this album more than his previous release. Fans of CSN should enjoy his music. My favorite tracks here are "Her Hair Is Growing Long", "Illumination" and especially "New Mexico".

Decided to splurge and order the vinyl. I'll report on that when it arrives. A guy who works so hard for a classic Laurel Canyon vibe should be heard on vinyl, I think.

Vinyl arrived. It's white. There was a really bad pressing defect on the second disc, so it had to go back. Probably something that would have been obvious on a black disc, but it was really hard to see with the white. Replacement is on the way. Listened to the CD on Sunday, and it's just very good.

The replacement vinyl is a little noisy, but pretty good. This sounds good on vinyl, as I expected. The white vinyl is weird, though. Tough to find the tracks.
