Description
Stalk-Forrest Group is also known by a few other names. Blue Oyster Cult, Soft White Underbelly or Oaxaca. These are the first known recordings made by this group for Elektra Records in the late 1960s. They were meant to be the first album by Soft White Underbelly. Featuring Buck Dharma, the group eventually evolved into Blue Oyster Cult. B.O.C. sometimes played small clubs under the name Soft White Underbelly. These rare historic recordings should appeal to all those Blue Oyster Cult fans, especially Jude Crowbridge, who chanted "BOC really rules, man!"

WOW, I always wanted to get this when Rhino Handmade offered it but could never get a one at a price I can afford. I have a version from Radioactive.

This new version has more songs and probably better re-mastering. I will be getting this for sure!

Guess it's a good thing I didn't buy this (and the Dio Sabbath Live disc) as an investment!

Of course I got it when it only cost $20 or so, so I guess I can't complain.

I have the Rhino (Along with Dan Hicks It Happened One Bite, one of 2 titles I purchased from Hand Made in the day; than both were released much cheaper in the UK, though the Rhino has more tracks on Stalk than the Radioactive); & last year (or was it the year before?) was selling the Radioactive. I've hung onto my Rhino, but I don't remember this being all that good.

Yeah it was kind of generic 60's psychedelia... this is when they were trying to mold SFG into an East coast Doors.

IMO you remember right Geff-I do not find this listenable at all. Just not for me.

I picked it up the Handmade version used a couple years ago for 8 bucks, and never really listened to it much. Still have it. Oh well.
