I wonder what his record sales are like. I suppose there could still be a bunch of people who buy his stuff, but it seems unlikely, right?

I remember the Gems album sitting in Amazon's best sellers list for a while, so there are still Michael Bolton fans out there. (Maybe Patrick is one of them?) This new one is already at #491, which is decent enough for a pre-order title one month away.

Actually I can't stand him! But I had looked something else up on Amazon.com and noticed this as one of the similar items they displayed. I posted it figuring he must still have some fans (no judgement from me)!!!

Just proves my theory that every artist, given enough time, will release an album of standards.

I looked it up-his last album got to #128 in the US.

He had more success as Jack Sparrow with Lonely Island (and no, I'm not kidding).

While I despise him and his AC schlock, he was in a one of those really-cool late 70's Rock bands called Blackjack who had one great hit single. Their guitarist was Bruce Kulick who went on to KISS and of course, Mr. Bolton co-wrote one of KISS's biggest hits "Forever". Was that 3 degrees of Michael Bolton? I need a shower.

I'm not a fan and have no interest in this. But I do think it should be noted that doing an album of Motown standards is not the same thing as revisiting the Gershwin-Porter-Rodgers & Hart, et. al. Great American Songbook.
