Singin' in the Rain, one of my favorite films ever.

In a totally different vein, I've seen Rocky Horror more times than any other movie.

I'm not a musical kind of guy, but Les Miserables was my second favorite movie of this year. South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut should also count as a musical. I've seen that one. :)

I voted for Grease, but Rocky Horror is right up there too.

I'd be part of this group too. I still hear phrases and Rocky lines nearly pop out of my mouth.

That said, this needs to be seen more.

That is actually a real contender for me. I love that movie and fairly often find myself humming songs from it.

I'm rather partial to Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

I have only seen two of these, Chicago and Grease. Both of which I like, but I wouldn't say either is my favorite.
I liked RENT, too.
I guess I don't have a favorite. Not much of a fan of musicals, I guess.

I have the following on blu-ray and would considered them awesome:

Singin' in the Rain
The Sound of Music
The Wizard of Oz
Meet Me in St. Louis

I'm also a huge fan of Funny Girl, and the recent Les Miserables. There are a bunch of great ones I haven't seen.

Oh yeah, I've seen the Wizard of Oz, as well. If we're counting that one as a movie musical, then I guess that would be my vote. Though if animated films are acceptable choices, the music in Nightmare before Christmas is probably my favorite.

We're "counting" it because it's one of the greatest ones of all time. It's just that the choices were assembled by interviewing a syphilitic hobo.

But it is still moot because Singin' in the Rain is teh graet one.

As a pre-schooler, The Sound of Music was the first movie that I asked to see twice in the theater.

Lil' Abner is also on my personal list.

We watch Jesus Christ Superstar at least twice a year.

It's weird, but I never really think of the Wizard of Oz as a musical, even though it obviously is.
In my head it's filed under "Classic" not "Musical" for some reason. Apparently my brain doesn't have a file for "Classic Musicals" because I haven't seen many.
