A redundant category, since most all superheroes use martial arts,or somehow acquire the moves, but for some, their skill set rests entirely on martial arts;they (usually) don't have superpowers or utility belts or batarangs (so no Batman, please).

Iron Fist for me. Love the whole mythology around the character, as well as his partnership with Luke Cage.

This was my first kung-fu/martial arts comic and I've enjoyed the character of Richard Dragon ever since!

Batman. I'm not a big fan of the Kung Fu genre.

I haven't been a big reader of any of them, but I like Shang-Chi the best. I went through a phase of reading him when I was young to be familiar enough, and I like the way he's tied into the Sax Roehmer "yellow peril" genre of pulps. In fact, the whole martial arts and kung fu genre is kind of a interested turn on of the "yellow peril."

As Jay said, I like the fact that Shang-Chi was tied to Fu Manchu but the Lost Horizon/Razor's Edge background for Danny Rand trumps that. Both of those examples, as I've said before, are what made Marvel's approach to its characters in general different and special once upon a time. Dracula for instance, was not only tied to the novel but to the historical Vlad. A similar transformation occurred to Stan after the debut of Thor. I love that approach and it's what I would do.

I'm reading Secret Avengers right now and I'm liking Brubaker and Ellis' treatments of Shang-Chi.

I'll choose Shang Chi due to Paul Gulacy, Mike Zeck and Gene Day.
