Not to be confused with the motel chain.
Maverick for me.Grew up with the reruns. The first season was finally released on DVD,and it still holds up.
Always imagined Bret Maverick was the great-great-great-great-great grandpappy of Jim Rockford.

The correct answer is the Big Valley, which also has the best theme by far.

Since I'm not a fan I'll cast a vote for my parents for either "Guns of Will Sonnet" or "Have Gun Will Travel."

Victoria Barkley could kick Hoss's ass. And Matt Dillon's.

The list is missing HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL. Also, KUNG FU would count as a Western, no?

Anyway, I picked BONANZA. It's the one I watched most.

No, the correct answer is Lonesome Dove.

Gah! I hated Carrie. All she was good for was falling in holes and getting sick.

Yeah, but the actress who played Mrs. Olsen was highly underrated. She might have been the best bitch who has ever been on TV.

I'd imagine that she and Mr. Olsen had some intense sex.

Good God, "Have Gun Will Travel." I don't even have to think about it.

Not sure "Wild Wild West" actually qualifies as a Western.

Deadwood is not only my favorite TV Western, it is probably my favorite TV show of any kind.

Ian McShane and Brad Dourif gave two of the best performances in any production ever. Of course, they had the best material to work with as well.

Hmmm. I've watched a lot of Bonanza, a few Gunsmoke, a goodly amount of Maverick (but more of the newer version), never saw any Rawhide (but like the theme), enjoyed a lot of F-Troop, watched most of the The Rifleman show, and, I know we were watching it when I was younger, but I can't remember hardly any of The Wild Wild West.

I'm probably going to go with Maverick, but I also very fondly remember James Garner in the one-season show: Nichols.

Oh, sh–. The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. thank you very much.
And Kung-Fu, that was a good series.
Oh, and watched a lot of Daniel Boone, too.

But the real answer for me is… ZORRO! The Disney version.

Zorro and The Lone Ranger both got beat by a hair by Maverick.

I hate watching Bonanza when they are shooting exteriors in studio and they have the obvious matte landscapes in the background, the fake trees and the studio lights overhead. You can even hear the studio floor under the hooves of the horses. :D
