So this is the fourth gay DC hero in the new 52, right? The couple in Stormwatch, Batwoman and Alan Scott?

All the publicity with little genuine value. That's what I'd expect DC to do based on their decisions over the past decade or so. The comic book industry never disappoints.

I'm wondering if this was always in the plans or if DC made this decision just because Marvel is marrying off Northstar next month?

This ain't a comic scene, it's a gay arms race.

The Alan Scott thing doesn't bother me. It is a new Alan Scott, so it isn't necessarily being shoe-horned onto a character I'm already familiar with. Plus I'm sure Robinson will come up with something worthwhile.

Just give me 47,000 lockers to stuff them in.

Batman Incorporated #1 was pretty good. Love the art.
The whole thing has the same great indie-cool vibe that Glory and Prophet over at Image do.

Li'l Jay wrote: And don't forget to read Batman 701 and 702. Those were published right about the time Batman Inc. launched, and explain a lot, sort of a sum up by Morrison of everything he had in mind through Batman R.I.P., Final Crisis, Return of Bruce Wayne, then Batman Inc. For those as confused as I was, here's the TPB reading order... Batman & Son Batman: Black Glove Batman RIP Final Crisis Batman and Robin, Vol. 1: Batman Reborn Batman and Robin, Vol. 2: Batman vs. Robin Batman: Time and the Batman Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne Batman & Robin, vol. 3: Batman & Robin Must Die! Batman Incorporated, Vol. 1 Since I'm waiting on the books until sometime next week, I think I'll go back and read Batman & Son and Final Crisis to catch up to where I'm supposed to be. I suppose I could read Black Glove, since I have the issues, but we'll see how I feel. I don't remember being too blown away by that arc.

Sort of. It's a design they didn't use from Quitely's sketchbook that he made in case Grayson would have a different costume.
