BGO Records will be issuing Atlanta Rhythm Section's live "Are You Ready?" album from 1979 on cd FINALLY in a remastered edition on June 12. The cd version I have of this title *looks* legit, but it is legit in looks only, it's clearly a European *import*, so I'll be happy to finally get this in legitimate form. In other ARS news, original vocalist Rodney Justo has re-joined the band as well as bassist Paul Goddard. The vocalist they had for awhile now, Andy Anderson, who I thought was terrible, is gone. Still have Dean Daughtry on keyboards. Now if they can just get Barry Bailey back on guitar, they'll be cookin' again.

Bump: Added cover image and pre-order links to the first post. This is an import, so I've included the original UK release date in the thread title.

Fantastic! I knew this would happen!

I have a grey area CD of this but it sounds pretty darn good.

I have an *import* of this that replicates the artwork and all, but is clearly a non-authorized version. This same "label" released "Underdog", "Boys From Doraville" and the ARS follow-up to "Quinella" that went unreleased "Sleep With One Eye Open"--all of which I own. They also released Stillwater's debut album, which I also have. I don't know what label issues these, there is no notation on any of the releases. You may find another upcoming release "One From The Vaults", coming out May 29, of interest as well. I ordered both Are You ready and One From The Vaults from CD Universe, because even with $4.99 shipping for both, they were still about $1.75 less than amazon. CD Universe also has the tracklisting for One From The Vaults and you can preview some of them.

I have this on vinyl-I believe that Ronnie Hammond is the singer, not Rodney Justo

James seemed to be referring to the current lineup when mentioning Justo -not the "Are You Ready" album.

Rodney Justo is the original lead singer of ARS. He quit very early on but now he's back. Hammond is the lead singer most fans are familiar with.

I ordered this along with the Sugarloaf two-fer directly from BGO months ago...both finally arrived together yesterday. Did one or both of these get delayed or was BGO just really late shipping?

Problem is, to make it 100% legit, it needs two versions of Imaginary Lover; the standard live version & the same played at 45 rpm so it sounds like Stevie Nicks & Fleetwood Mac!

Bump with new release date info (with thanks to David Baker for the heads-up).

Beat Goes On is a UK-based label, but for some reason they've taken to servicing Amazon USA earlier than Amazon UK (sometimes months earlier, as in this case). This CD came out in general release in America on September 11th of last year -- it's available from the Amazon USA link in the first post -- but the disc has been rescheduled for UK release on May 30, 2013.
