Tough Crowd was a good show. The comedians seemed to interact pretty naturally, so you could see how they were off stage.

Tough Crowd was Politically Incorrect without the political correctness.

I am really glad to see I am not the only Tough Crowd enthusiast.

That's a perfect way of describing it. No smug, self congratulatory looks at the camera... they'd just laugh at why someone had been a public jerk that week, and then move on. Like four guys in a bar, bitching and making fun of life.

It is weird stuff. Chase comes across as an asshole. Although the creator of the show has been pretty dickish too. From what I hear they are both big personalities and as such they keep butting heads. Because neither of them can really help it.

A lot of comedians are assholes. I had a friend who worked for a hotel in the 90's and he said Denis Leary and Tommy Smothers were the worst guests he ever had to deal with. I guess Bill Cosby had his reasons when he punched Tommy Smothers in the head.
I think Chase is great on Community.Sometimes he's even my favourite character.

I think it's because they have problems dealing with people that makes them do stand-up.

As much as I fondly remember Chevy Chase...
