Pete suffered a heart attack on Saturday. He's okay (as okay as anyone can be after that), he's had two stents put in and everything looks good, and he's starting on the road to recovery. He asked me to post a message about this so that his friends on the ICE boards would know why he's temporarily vanished.

Post a message in this thread for Pete to read when he next visits, or PM or e-mail him. I'm sure it would cheer him up. And he hopes to be posting regularly again soon!

Get well, Pete. My cousin had a very delicate heart surgery in 1983 and he's still doing just fine at age 72! I'll be rooting that the Flyers make you proud!

Good wishes for a swift recovery. I enjoy learning about music through your wide knowledge and your plain spoken opinions, and I hope to hear more of your insights very soon.

Damn that's scary! Glad Pete is ok and on the road to recovery. No more Flyers or Phillies for you for awhile! Let us know if there is anything we can do.

Yikes! Glad to hear you are are okay after this. Pay attention to what the doctors and nurses tell you to do and you should be up and listening to and commenting on music in no time!

Get well soon, Pete! When Linda said you were out of commission, I was afraid you had been hit by a car while walking - you know, while being invisible...

Boo!

Geez, I was surprised the Flyers beat the Penguins, but I wasn't THAT surprised.

Couple cheesesteaks, fries, onion rings and a milkshake, and you'll be as good as new!

Seriously, man - get better. The NHL thread won't move as well without you.

Alan

IP, I'm so sorry to hear this, but I'm glad you are in good hands. You contribute so much to the ICE board and I've especially enjoyed the album-by-album threads you've created over the last several months. I'm looking forward to your return and wish you a safe, speedy recovery.
