In commemoration of the sinking of the Titanic 100 years ago this weekend, we're revisiting ships and boats for today's Friday List. Sailing songs are OK, but PLEASE NO general 'ocean' or 'sea' songs, we did that already. Bonus points for specific ship names. Keep bailing!
Titanic (a.k.a. "It Was Sad When That Great Ship Went Down")--Leadbelly/Pete Seeger, etc. Down Among the Dead Men--Flash & the Pan (about the Titanic) If I Had a Boat--Lyle Lovett Ships--Ian Hunter/Barry Manilow Sink the Bismark--Johnny Horton Calypso--John Denver (Jacques Cousteau's vessel) PT-109--Jimmy Dean (JFK's WWII boat) Sailing--Christopher Cross Ride Captain Ride--Blues Image Row Jimmy--Grateful Dead Longer Boats--Cat Stevens
