But the fans of Seattle do. We were voted the "most miserable city in the USA to be a sports fan" a couple years ago by some national magazine.
And as much as I think PC is a bozo (his nickname in Seattle is "Mr Happy",), PC & Schineider apparently played this one right; he was getting roasted in the press & the blogs for not going after Flynn hard enough. Apparently that ploy contributed to Miami's low ball offer & Flynn ending up here.

I would have thought Cleveland would be the worst. Indy was very good until last year. Buffalo can't be too bad if the Sabers make it into the playoffs.
Even if Seattle sucks for sports, it's a great city over all.

I liked the way Smith threw the ball last year (wish that Sanchez would watch the tapes). Smith kept the ball safe and made the important throws. He's not spectacular but got the job done. It was just unfortunate that they ran into the NY Giants who were on a roll.
And that's not even why they lost... it went to OT and a back-up special teams player loses the ball and gives the NYG amazing field position. Otherwise, who knows what might have happened.
If I remember the main criteria why Seattle "won" (lost??) were a combination of losing the Sonics, & not having a winning season or playoff appearance from any major pro or college team other than Women's basketball in years (this was 3 years ago before the Seahawks made the playoffs with a 7-9 record & also before Husky's basketball started winning, though I am personally NOT a college sports fan ).
Also keep in mind that Seattle is one of 2 MLB teams (I think the other is Toronto?) to NEVER play in a world series.
Other than Women's basketball, our only championship was the 1979 NBA. I think our new Soccer team has won a couple tournaments, but i don't get soccer; all the other sports have 1 World Series, Superbowl, etc. Soccer has 10 or 20 each year! I'm also NOT a soccer fan.

Soccer rules. Plus, the Sounders AVERAGE nearly 40,000 fans a game. No MLS Cups yet though. There is only one championship for the league (MLS Cup), not 10 or 20. There are many international tournaments and a few club championships. But not everyone likes it in the US. Women's basketball does not qualify as a championship in anyone's right mind and should never be mentioned when discussing pro sports.

Maybe Tebow can get Rex Ryan to stop swearing. Or maybe Rex can get Tebow to start swearing.
Funny!
But this Jet move is all about marketing. Nobody in the right mind (which includes almost every football expert) thinks Tebow will ever become a premeir QB (the big reason Denver was happy to move him for a 4th pick!!!). If Tebow was so good they would have demanded a higher draft choice, instead he's discarded from Denver like yesterday's dishrag.
All Woody cares about is marketing those damn PSL's and Jet jerseys. This move destroys the Jets as a football team.

As a Jets fan I'm thrilled about getting Tim Tebow. He won't replace my guy Mark, but he's a decent backup who could push Sanchez just enough to have him up his game. Tebow's talent in the wildcat is obvious and Tony Sparano IS the new OC. He doesn't cost much and I see no downside to it at all. Fans chanting for Tebow if Sanchez is having a bad game? BIG DEAL. It's the NFL. I rooted for Tebow all last season (except when he beat the Jets) and now I'm super excited that I can root for this kid every single week.

While I don't follow it closely I disagree with you on Women's basketball. It's a lot like early men's before the age of the 7 foot tall player. Some of the Women are really good.
