And before anyone whines -- Superman: Secret Identity, The New Frontier, Dark Knight Returns and many other popular imaginary stories (aren't they all?) weren't labeled as Elseworlds. Thanks.

Kingdom Come by a nose over Superman: Red Son for me. Also really enjoyed JLA: The Nail

Can't vote because I haven't read most of those, but I do know that Alan Davis' art in Another Nail might just be the closest to perfection in superhero art ever. Seriously.

Red Son for me.
Secret Identity is a close second. Followed by DKR.

I am surprised with my answer, but I gotta go with Superman & Batman: World's Funnest.........I reread it 2 or 3 of times a year. It's just great.
Golden Age was a comic that i hoped would be part of the DC Continuity at the time. Why the Ultra-Humanite isn't an "A" list villain....I'll never know.

Golden Age and New Frontier are tied. Both have histories of DC characters that I would prefer were the real thing, rather than what we got. Luckily, James Robinson was able to weave in some stuff from Golden Age into official DC canon through Starman.

Thanks. That's only 'cause they stopped using the branding by then. They're still non-continuity.

Kingdom Come Planetary/Batman The Golden Age.
In that order. The rest are meh for me. (Though I agree with Flame about Davis' The Nail art being stunning)

Gotham by Gaslight (which I voted for) didn't have the Elseworlds branding when it was first published. It was retroactively added in later printings.

The Nail because of the Davis Art. The Speeding Bullets and In Darkest Knight I love specifically on concept.
