Hmm. I don't believe that was ever a single in the USA or UK (or anywhere in Europe), which could explain its absence from compilations. It was the lead track on a French EP:
But yes, Geff, it's a great song and a highlight of the For Certain Because ... album!

I do own a copy of the song, it's on For Certain Because. I just always found it being left off almost all comps odd. Maybe it really was only a hit in Seattle!
Dan Folgelberg also did a great cover.

Banned??? Moi???
With Linda's help I finally tracked down a comp with the "Holliedaze" medley, so, along with the other 5 or 6 Hollies collections I own, I think I'm covered.

I have that on a UK 45 -- I was disappointed when I played it and heard the overdubbed drum track. Well, it's different, anyway.

I like that song too - did you ever notice that the melody of the chorus was later used by Alice Cooper in the song Billon Dollar Babies (the part that goes "we go dancing...')? I noticed this some time ago, and others agree (Google it!).

"Holliedaze" can be found on these collections. (Can't remember which one Jimbo chose ... perhaps there's another one still, these are off the top of my head as a Hollies fan.) There's the France import compilation The French Singles A's & B's 1966/1983 on the Magic label:

don't forget the b-side to "Holliedaze" = "Holliepops (a medley)", also available on the French Singles A's & B's, and on The Premium Gold Collection Vol 2...
