He would not have been too bad for the roll. Not my first choice, but I can see it. He still might be the best guy to ever play Bruce Wayne and the Bruce Wayne and James Bond characters are not that far apart.

He's obviously not the best choice, but he really is not a terrible one either. It could have worked with the right script.

I would like to clarify my thoughts on this:
An Adam West James Bond would obviously be more campy than the regular Bond and since he is American would probably offend some Bond purists, but it if done right could be fun.

I'd take Adam West over Timothy Dalton. Dalton was a bit stiff as James Bond.

There's an element of ruthlessness to Bond which even Roger Moore was able to convey at times. I simply can't picture Adam West pulling that off.

Van Dyke starred in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which was produced by Bond Producer Albert "Cubby" Broccoli.
