Overall, the commercials were very disappointing and largely unfunny this year. Jon Stamos getting headbutted was terrific, but no laugh-out-loud ones like the "Robert Goulet comes in and messes with your stuff" one a few years ago.
I've said it before, but the Super Bowl is not for a real football fan. Hasn't been for years.
I thought we got a pretty good game last night -- but I totally skipped the halftime show.
It wasn't high scoring like some Patriot fans thought it would be but it was a nail biter at the end. I figured if the Giants could keep it close (10-9 at the half), they;d have a real good shot. Holding Brady to a total of 17 points was the story of the game.

“You can't have everything. Where would you put it?”—Steven Wright
New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker was so upset over dropping a crucial pass late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 21-17 loss to the Giants in Super Bowl XLVI, he nearly started crying at the podium.
Tom Brady came up short on Super Sunday for the second time. The common theme? No, it's not the Giants. Pats fans should blame Gisele Bundchen, writes Sarah Spain. Story
Welker isn't going to get any pity from quarterback Tom Brady's wife, Gisele Bundchen, though.
After her prayers for a Patriots' championship went unanswered, Bunchen lashed out at the team's receiving corps for failing to haul in her husband's passes. While waiting for an elevator at Lucas Oil Stadium, Bundchen was being heckled by Giants fans when she spoke to people in her group.
"My husband can not f------ throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times," Bundchen said in a video captured by theinsider.com, a gossip website.
Wide receiver Deion Branch and tight end Aaron Hernandez dropped passes on New England's final drive.
After the game, Welker said he let the team down when he failed to come up with a Brady pass he says he catches "1,000 times."
"Wes is a phenomenal player and a teammate," Brady said. "I love that guy."
If only his supermodel wife felt the same way.
Former New York Giants WR Amani Toomer says the Patriots aren't giving QB Tom Brady enough help but Brady hasn't played like a Hall of Famer in the last two Super Bowls. Toomer says he expects Giants coach Tom Coughlin to return to the team.
Brady was not available for comment on Monday, when the team flew back from Indianapolis and arrived at Gillette Stadium on buses. Asked if the team had any comment, Patriots spokesman Stacey James pursed his lips together and shook his head from side to side.
But defensive back James Ihedigbo says Welker was a big reason the Patriots made it to the Super Bowl, and he's not to blame for the loss.
"You can't point fingers at anybody. Wes made amazing plays all season," Ihedigbo said. "You win it as a team; you win it and lose it as a team. And we lost to a good football team."
Bundchen made headlines leading into the game when the press received an email she sent urging her close family and friends to pray for Brady on Sunday.

It's funny-I thought they let him down too, but you don't go screaming that to the media and calling out his teammates by name-especially when you're just a player's wife and you asked us all to "pray for Tom" before the game. She's nuts.

She went to the media? I thought the remarks were made to her companions after she was heckled by fans.
The prayer thing and the dogging of the receivers were both done privately. They were just reported on by the media.
I don't think Madonna made a single sound live during the halftime show. It didn't keep my attention at all. I should have watched the Who show from a couple years ago instead.
Great finish to the game, though. I was a bit annoyed with Michaels and Collinsworth insisting that the Giants shouldn't score the touchdown at the end, that they should stop short, run the clock down and kick the field goal. No frigging way, no how. A field goal results in a two point lead - I'd rather make the Pats go 100 yards than 65-70, especially given how good their kicker is. When you get down to it, the Pats made all their progress on the last drive at about the point that they'd have gotten the ball after the field goal. I'm making them go the whole way to the end zone every time.
