This sounds very, very cool. As is, the current lineup is so powerful live, hearing these albums in concert will be something. I'll definitely be getting this.

To anyone saying no DeYoung-I've gotta say, you have your right to your opinion, but Styx are 100% better without him. They are tremendous live as anyone who has seen them here will attest.
I'd like DDY back, but believe me, they are a powerhouse live and blew Yes away every show this summer. It's not even close to the old band who were great of course.
I say this as a loyal Styx fan and this is not a minority opinion these days. Many fans love this lineup.

I just ordered this tonight along with the just released Queen Blu-ray.

Is there a Blu-Ray version of this?

Ah, I should look before asking, there is BUT the Blu-Ray does NOT include the CDs as the notes state in Amazon. Probably still will go for the Blu-Ray though. I at times just shut the TV off and play the concert for the audio only (plus you get the 5.1).

There ended up being 3 versions of this release, and now all of them are linked in the first post: a 1-DVD/2-CD set, a DVD-only edition, and the Blu-ray.

I ordered just the DVD from a secondary seller on Amazon for $10. I thought about the version with the 2 CDs but figured I'd really rather this just be visual and that I'd only listen to the CDs once or twice.
What I've seen as far as clips go is stunning-the cameras are put to great use. Sure, it's not the classic lineup but that ship sailed in the late 90's. They sound great as always anyway even though there are some hilarious pro-DDY posters trashing this DVD and anything else Styx have done since Dennis left. There are some very bitter, lonely people out there!

The blu ray's well worth getting imho.

This is outrageously good. The visuals are stunning (9 HD cameras, or 11-I forget), and hearing them play songs they've never played was incredible. The version of "Superstars" was something else. Highly recommended.

Does Tommy sing the songs that Dennis sang before?

If I remember the DDY songs are all handled by Gowan, but I'm not 100% sure. This is one of the best sounding/looking concert DVDs I've ever seen.
Sure, I wish the classic lineup was doing this, but truthfully, this lineup is so much more powerful musically I'm fine with things the way they are.

I'd bite if there was a 2-CD/Blu Ray package, but for now I think I'll wait and see.

Agree that this a great disc. I saw the tour and enjoyed it.

Should have my Blu-Ray by weekend.
