They started out as a legitimate pop band, then started impersonating other bands, doing parodies of current hits and weaving them into a storyline. This record was a Christmas story, as they parodied the hits of the day from Donovan, Marianne Faithfull, The Rolling Stones, The Hollies, The Ivy League, and Peter Cook & Dudley Moore.
