As many may or may not the excellent television program Community is currently on the chopping block. I like many find this unacceptable, and action must be taken. If you are a fan of the series please send an evil beard or a post card to both of the following addresses:

Steve Burke
CEO
30 Rockefeller Plaza
New York, NY 10112.

Robert Greenblatt
Chairman
3000 W. Alameda
Admin Building
Burbank, CA 91523

If you are not a fan of the series I suggest you check it out. The entire series is currently streaming on Hulu Plus. If your are a non-Hulu Plus subscribers you can still check out the five most recent episodes for free on Hulu's website. I would recommend "Advanced Gay." It has everything: Gay people, a crazy racist, a healthy dosage of Chevy Chase, and a guest appearance by John Goodman.

this is a cause I can get behind.
I'm assuming the "evil beard" is something from a new episode, since I have no idea what it is a reference to.

And by "it" I meant that I can watch Hulu with Hotspot Shield. I barely lasted 10 minutes into it and regret wasting my time because I mistakenly read John Goodman as John Hodgeman.

But I'll give a chance to the Jack Black one.

I saw your most recent post after posting my reply. That does not mean I forgive you for being a total doucher.

I don't know.

The only French guy I know is Stephane, and besides liking Claremont's current comics, he isn't that bad.

You are correct. The reference in the episode itself though was from the classic Star Trek episode "Mirror, Mirror" where they travel to an evil Universe in which Spock had grown a very stylish goatee.

Rafael is a French name is it not? Or is it Italian? What the hell difference does it make, all people with funny sounding names are douchebags.

You have cemented that opinion in me forever. I hope you are happy with yourself.

Or is Rafael not even your real name? Are you just a Turtles fan?

slightly predates Bender and Flexo, but the same general idea

This thread is getting quickly derailed from this very important issue by my semi-insincere hate speak.

I am about as sorry as I am capable of being.

You're off by about 7000 miles.

And thanks, I worked hard for it. :yay:

This is a picture of Rafael in real life...hard to type his responses with no fingers, so you've got to give him some credit.

Let it be noted that I gave the show a sincere chance.

I hope it gets renewed, though. My nephew likes it.

Okay, back to the important topic here.
If Community is cancelled, I will beat everyone to death with their own shoes.
Every single person I come across.
All of them.

I would not be surprised if that was an intentional reference to the Star Trek episode, even if Flexo's beard was a very different styling than Spocks. That episode has been referenced by dozens of shows in the few decades since the episode of Star Trek aired. I know "South Park" riffed on it in one episode and I am fairly certain "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy" did as well at one point.
