As many may or may not the excellent television program Community is currently on the chopping block. I like many find this unacceptable, and action must be taken. If you are a fan of the series please send an evil beard or a post card to both of the following addresses:
Steve Burke CEO 30 Rockefeller Plaza New York, NY 10112.
Robert Greenblatt Chairman 3000 W. Alameda Admin Building Burbank, CA 91523
If you are not a fan of the series I suggest you check it out. The entire series is currently streaming on Hulu Plus. If your are a non-Hulu Plus subscribers you can still check out the five most recent episodes for free on Hulu's website. I would recommend "Advanced Gay." It has everything: Gay people, a crazy racist, a healthy dosage of Chevy Chase, and a guest appearance by John Goodman.

And by "it" I meant that I can watch Hulu with Hotspot Shield. I barely lasted 10 minutes into it and regret wasting my time because I mistakenly read John Goodman as John Hodgeman.

this is a cause I can get behind. I'm assuming the "evil beard" is something from a new episode, since I have no idea what it is a reference to.
You are correct. The reference in the episode itself though was from the classic Star Trek episode "Mirror, Mirror" where they travel to an evil Universe in which Spock had grown a very stylish goatee.

slightly predates Bender and Flexo, but the same general idea

Okay, back to the important topic here. If Community is cancelled, I will beat everyone to death with their own shoes. Every single person I come across. All of them.

I would not be surprised if that was an intentional reference to the Star Trek episode, even if Flexo's beard was a very different styling than Spocks. That episode has been referenced by dozens of shows in the few decades since the episode of Star Trek aired. I know "South Park" riffed on it in one episode and I am fairly certain "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy" did as well at one point.
