Two CD set released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Rainbow's first world tour. Recorded September 27th, 1976, it's astonishing to hear the crowd chanting Ritchie onto the stage football terrace style - and he doesn't disappoint. Ronnie Dio is in very strong form, confident enough to be taking liberties with the phrasing, whilst keeping on top of it all. Newly remixed from the original concert tapes. A must for all rock fans. The eight page booklet details the band's history along with many rare unseen photos of this period.

I can laugh because I love these guys. Two songs fill up a whole CD? I thought Purple were bad...

This is awesome stuff, but these shows from the German leg of the Rising tour have been recirculated ad nauseum.
I love Rainbow though and the Rising era kicks a ton of ass.
The DVD from the On Stage tour is also amazing and is essentially an extension of the Rising tour with a new lineup and a few songs from the forthcoming Long Live Rock And Roll album.
Dior rocks (and designs)! I heard there's a Holy Diver line of bathing suits out this spring.

I'm really looking forward to this one. The "COLOGNE SPORTS HALL 25.9.1976" set that came out last year rocked and I'll be adding this new one to the collection as well!

I believe there are three in total that will eventually be released ("DUSSELDORF" being the second so far obviously). They were already released together in Japan as a 6 disc set.

My question is: once all three are out does that make the "LIVE IN GERMANY 1976" set redundant?
