I've slowed way, way down on my figure buying... I think the only thing I bought this year was the movie Thor figure and a Blackest Night Green Lantern guy. But when I impulse-bought this uber sweet Hellboy on eBay today...

It followed that I must get an Abe Sapien to accompany him...

I love it when they sculpt water and fire that way.

Wow, I'm jealous. I can't see spending that much on a figure but the face is so lifelike and really captures the heroic qualities of the Reeve Superman.

Nice!

Yeah, the body was ok but where the figure truly shines is with the head sculpt. It was extremely well done.

Also, the texture of the suit is nice.

And I liked the box a lot:

If I just saw the head by itself, I'd think I was looking at Chris Reeve himself.

Looks awesome. Post a close-up of the head straight on. They early promo pics looked cross-eyed. Did they fix that?

Not picking on you, Bully, but it's a good opportunity to use it and I just love the snark behind this website:

And I really love that figure. Would love to have it, but that's totally not in the budget.

It looks like it's just over the $200 mark, Bully.

The most I've ever done is $80 for a Connery Bond figure... and even then, I felt I was way over the line with price.

Yeah, as much as I love the figure, I'm just not that kind of a fan anymore. $200 is way too much.

Jesus. It's great though. Just can't spend more on an action figure than I did on my iPhone.

You could spend that much on a doll, though. C'mon, you know you have already.

Pretty amazing how that figure smokes this statue.

These Hot Toys guys really know their stuff. If I liked The Avengers more, a set of Cap, Iron Man and Thor would look really sweet. They excell at making Iron Man figures.

I'm waiting for a new Bale Batman, the ones already released are crazy expensive.
