I just saw this listed as forthcoming on DustyGroove.com and found a bit of information from the cover artist:

I just got printer's proofs emailed over to me from Daptone Records for a recent watercolor cover illustration commission I did for an upcoming Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings release, It's Soul Time.

As far as I last heard, the lp is slated for a Japanese export release. The album is a compilation of staples from the bands live show repertoire. I am super happy with the way they worked the type layout over my painting. Kind of feels like time traveling.

Thanks for the tip on this. Some places are listing this as late October (Dusty Groove), but someone from the label said this might also be an indie store exclusive for Black Friday. So we'll see...

Patrick, it's a beautiful cover! Is this an album of studio or live recordings?

It's about time. Wasn't too thrilled with "I Learned The Hard Way," but absolutely love Sharon and the boys and purchase everything on Daptone. Cover is cool as always!
