Hi, I'm Phil, living in Adelaide, Australia. I've been lurking here for several months, but have made a couple of posts over the last few weeks. If a bit of shameless self-promotion is allowed, my new internet radio station, CyberJukebox, needs listeners - link is in my signature, and within the station page you can find a http address to get a programme schedule. This thing will stay active (and free!) as long as I get listeners, so I hope you'll take a listen, and leave some comments on the wall if you wish.

Thanks!

Phil

P.S. It's just music - no um-er awkward announcer!

Hi, I'm an artist and a music lover. My favorites are the Beatles, Neil Young and early 70s soul. Also Nirvana, Zep, etc.

I'm not exactly a new ICEr, but I cancelled my Comcast account last month, and now I can't seem to punch a correct password for my IMWAN account that was registered with my former Comcast e-mail address, which has now completely vanished.

Oh well.

Hi,
Thankyou for adding me to this board. My name's Karin and I'm a Jack of all trades (and master of none). I'm a magazine editor, music agent and erstwhile PA as well as being a trustee of a wildlife rescue centre. I live in the beautiful Scottish Borders. My music interests include Eric Faulkner (Bay City Rollers), Donnie Munro (Runrig), Scocha, Coast and Jill Jackson amongst others. Check them all out on YouTube if you've not heard of any of them before.
Best wishes,
Karin

Forgot to say I'm a radio presenter as well... still in search of a real job....

Welcome, Karin. (Is that the '90s Coast? Paul Fyfe?)

Thank you Linda - no Coast are a Celtic rock band from the UK. Not sure how to post video, but here's a link:

I embedded the video for you. Coast ("my" Coast) were from Scotland, so I thought maybe .... :)

Thanks Linda - no I'm pretty sure they're no relation! Although this band often sounds Scottish, in actual fact they're from the South of England.

Welcome, Karin. Always great to have another Scot here and the fact that yer a Rollers fan...well, that just makes it even better.

Thank you for all the welcomes. Looks like a really interesting board. Don't think I've ever made a doctor happy before...!

Although I'm a Scot I've come to the Rollers music rather later than most. Don't know that I'd call myself a fan exactly - but I'm learning!

Some like the BCR, some don't. It's like anything else. You don't have to love the BCR, but if you love music in general, yer in the right place, Karin. :ohyes:

Hi guys - Tony here from Dayton, OH. Was a long-time Ice subscriber for many years. Also a former radio guy. I poke my head around the boards here and there, especially the New and Vaults sections.

Now, I'm knee deep in a project called Icon Fetch (iconfetch.com). I do audio interviews and CD reviews on the site. There's 110 interviews up there already, many of which are people that get discussed here often. Everyone from Tommy James of the Shondells to Nina Blackwood of MTV days, to Thomas Dolby, John Popper, to Shelby Lynne. I'm also getting CDs to review from many of the major labels.

I'm not making a dime on this (at least not yet). It's just a labor of love at the moment.

Didn't know if it would be appropriate to post a link to an interview that might be relevant to a current release from time to time? For instance, I just sat down with the original guitarist from the Spin Doctors about the 20th anniversary edition of Pocketful of Kryptonite.

I'm just a music geek at heart, so some of you should relate...

Tony

Hi Tony! Only Linda can say for sure on links as it's her board, but I don't have any problem with it!
