It does have that sort of "last act of a desperate man" stench about it.

I don't care if it's the first act of Henry VIII!

I still don't think this is a reboot or erasing of history - just renumbering/relaunching with some continuity tweaks.

Maybe.

Good opportunity to try out some new titles. For me its all about the creators involved.

I'd like to know if DC will be holding the line at $1.99 for digital. Three or four bucks for a digital comic is beyond ridiculous.

I say this hypocritically as I buy digital Magic: the Gathering cards all the time.

I'm not sure I'd share that. :)

Who drew that? And how come the costume doesn't match the Jim Lee one? I'm confused.

That's a sneak peek at next year's relaunch.

I think it's done by some incredibly badass fan who wants to show Wondy ditching the new outfit and going back to her classic look.

Either that or she's stripping down for some hot action.

I wish I knew the origin of that. Someone posted it on their LiveJournal page without a source.

She's got a thin waist like Marcus' wife.

The WW artist is Stanley "ArtGerm" Lau.

I'm still trying to absorb this information. As a 37-year DC fan, I am concerned...

52 new issue number ones...hmm..what are the odds of:

WATCHMEN 1: Guess who's back? The Watchmen must reteam to fight a resurrected Bubastis!

It's deja vu all over again.

Checking in on another comics forum... I see folks posting, "I'm taking this as a message from DC that it's time for me to move on. I started reading DC right after Crisis, so I guess this is a good place to stop."

Pretty much my thoughts in '86.

The more i think about the more this cannot be a line wide reboot..some continuity tweaks and streamlining but there are too many ongoing stories and books that are planned that we know of (that may be renumbered but the stories will continue as per previous continuity):

Batman Inc
The post Brightest day Aquaman
Post brightest Day return of constantine and Swamp thing
The JLI book spinning out of the recent series by Winnick
The GL world building by Johns (multiple lanterns, etc)
Batwoman 1 by JH Williams
Dark Knight by Finch
The Shade series by Robinson

One commentator did say that when you renumber and mess with regular buying habits ("i've been buying Action Comics since issue 432..") you risk losing more readers than gaining new ones...but all in all this is offset by the digital releases which is the smartest move here IMO.

Aquaman will be part of the reboot instead.

I don't mind.

I absolutely Johns' work, and I'm a massive Jim Lee fan, so JLA is a must. They've also been working on it for awhile, so delays should be accounted for, hopefully.

Other than that, as long as there's still a JSA book of some kind, I'm happy.

I'll also buy Hawkman, but I think that's it.
