While I think it's great TOS is on Blu Ray with the original and remastered episodes side-by-side, these are way too much. $65 for one season? Gimme a break! I'll keep an eye peeled for used and hopefully cheaper versions of these.

That's actually quite a comedown from what Paramount used to charge for a single season of a Star Trek show. ($100+)

I wish we could get the remastered, but without the nacelles visible in the rear viewscreen.

Also, since the CGI changed as they went, it'd be nice if they did another pass to keep things consistent.

Also, I imagine there's a lot of demand for remastered TNG and DS9. How come Paramount hasn't started redoing the special effects for these?

They need... yes, NEED... to put out ST:ENT blu-rays first. No new special effects needed there. The profit made from those can help pay for hypothetical new effects for TNG.

Yes. Original broadcast was in 720p, but reruns have been in 1080p.
