I was just reading a bit about the Sundays on another website (no, not THAT one), and they mentioned three songs that were only released on CD singles for Summertime and Cry (from the Static and Silence album). The author had posted mp3s of each, which I downloaded, and they're all good tunes: Gone, Life Goes On, and Through the Dark. A little more research, and I found out that one of the CDs also included a demo of You're Not The Only One I Know, which appeared on their first album, and which is my favorite Sundays song. I'd LOVE to hear that.
I tried to find these CD singles, but there's nothing on ebay, and my chances are probably pretty slim. If anybody knows where I might buy these, or is willing to trade some CD-Rs or high-res files, I'd appreciate a PM. Thanks.
BTW, what a great band. I kinda forgot, given that they disappeared about 13 years ago. Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic is as good an album as anybody released in the 90's.

Thanks, Linda. I ordered the Summertime single from Amazon US, but Amazon UK couldn't ship theirs to the US. But, I DID find the Cry single on Amazon UK that has the tracks I wanted, so I ordered that.
I just forgot to look on Amazon. Too obvious, I guess.
Thanks for all your help.

Big Sundays fan. I was a late bloomer to buying CD's, but finally succumbed when I couldn't find "Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic" on LP anywhere. First heard of them on MTV when "Here's Where The Story Ends" was in heavy rotation, really nice video. Don't know if this is true, but I think I remember Martha Quinn saying the album title was a pun on the town of Reading (pronounced 'redding'), England, where the band supposedly had ties. Heard the CD playing in a record store in Richmond, was blown away, went up to the counter to buy a copy, they had sold them all out. I eventually saw them in greater detail when they hosted MTV's 120 Minutes when their 2nd CD came out, subsequently discovered they had previously hosted it once or twice before. I started out trying to collect their b-sides and other rare cuts (along with several other artists about the same time, such as Tori Amos and Juliana Hatfield), but after awhile just stopped pursuing these. Although I did get a copy of "Don't Tell Your Mother" which is a most worthy song of the time of their first CD. Check out their discography on Wiki (and their videos on YouTube). Would love a box set of theirs with all their rare stuff! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sundays

To sum up what Greg started with their non-album b-sides, not counting demos and live versions it looks like they released 6 songs that didn't make it onto their 3 albums:
Don't Tell Your Mother Noise Nothing Sweet Gone Through The Dark Life Goes On
I found all of these on YouTube except for "Noise". Also on YouTube are 2 songs they played live but never released, the haunting "Turkish" and "Something More." Some great songs among these 8, wow...

It's great to see so much love for The Sundays on this board. Harriet had a great voice and a delivery that somehow managed to sound both innocent and provocative at the same time.
Like Rockin Robin, the only rarity I ever got my hands on was "Don't Tell Your Mother" and that was on a promo CD single I stumbled across in a dollar bin. I wish they would put out some kind of odds & sods release, even if it ends up being just a mini-album.

I'm a huge Sundays fan, so I started searching for these non-lp tracks. Turns out I already have one of them (Don't Tell Your Mother) on DGC Rarities, Vol. 1. As for the rest, I'm going shopping. Thanks all. Vince
