I believe NCAA and NFL rules require the center to hike the ball to the quarterback through their legs, but Pop Warner rules don't. A very ballsy high school coach in Texas took advantage of this:
Plays like that are getting pretty common in the pee wee leagues. Which kind of sucks, since they should be teaching the kids the fundamentals instead of crap like that. The usual version is for the center to turn around and hand the ball to the quarterback as they loudly say that they have "the wrong ball". The quarterback walks towards the bench with the ball and then takes off down the sideline for the goal.
Auburn tried something like that today. They hike the ball, but the offensive line stays perfectly still, making the defense think that the plays been called dead. It didn't work.
I don't believe plays like in the above video belong in playoff or championship games. Fake punts, statue of liberty, wildcat, whatever, those are football plays. This was just BS. I once saw a girls state basketball championship game in which one team played a stall game the whole game. Not only boring, but there was nothing champion about it.
