I have a friend who thinks I have pretty good musical taste. Her words, not mine. I just like what I like. She was looking through my collection and was shocked at my Night Ranger CD's. I have them all because I like them very much. Seen them at least a dozen times. She just couldn't understand how I could seriously like this band. She knew "Sister Christian" and "Goodbye" but that's about it. What artist is the "sore thumb" in your collection. :)

"Don't Tell Me You Love Me" is their best song ever. I love it to death.

I'm waiting for the greatest hits of Lady Gaga, then I can play along. :D
Should be any day now.

When friends look at my collection they say "how could you like Coltrane and listen to Hootie and the Blowfish" I usually reply with "get bent"

Take your pick:

The Carpenters
Glen Campbell
Buck Owens
Dionne Warwick
The Fifth Dimension

Love them all. I gave up feeling guilty about anything in my collection a long time ago.

My Night Ranger "Best Of" would be up there in my "sore thumb" list", I guess. Also my Partridge Family comp.

I'm sure there are loads more, but there's something i like about all of 'em or I wouldn't have them.

Night Ranger was great! I didn't own any of their albums but what I know from the radio is good.

My "sore thumb" cd is probably Silverchair's Frog Stomp.

"Sister Christian" is a great song as heard in the movie Boogie Nights (1997). One of the 90's best.

This song still rocks and it's catchy. When I hear the guitar duel between Gillis and Watson I feel no shame whatsoever in liking this band.
Sure, they looked like clowns and they had some lame tunes, but they are great musicians.

From the 2010 NAMM show @ the Taylor guitar booth. It gets hot about the 2:10 mark.

Yes, don't watch the music video for it. They're goofballs.
