Always nice (and rare) to see MLB issue a DVD which contains no Yankees, Red Sox, or Mets.
I was finally able to score a DVD of the official 1997 World Series highlights video. Turns out that although it's never been offered for sale on DVD, copies were given away at a 2007 Marlins home game.

I will be interested in the recently discovered Game 7 of the 1960 World Series - for me it is a sad ending but it was the first World Series that I watched - it would be GREAT seeing Mickey, Roger, Yogi, Whitey, Moose, Clete, Tony, Bobby, Hector and Casey!
Boyhood heros one and all!

Pending schedule, I would love to go to the taping they're going to do here for the game 7 special. I don't know if that stuff is going to be on the DVD, but it will be on the MLB Network broadcast.
Somewhere I have an audio tape of a recreation of the radio broadcast that Bob Prince did sometime before he died. He worked from his scorecard (I think Jim Woods did the recreation with him). It was cool to hear the whole thing, especially knowing how it ended.

I need these sets, because I still have a hard time believing it happened.

The complete games are very cool, but I think there needs to be a certain time between when they happened and when you watch them. I rented the 1979 WS discs from Netflix - it was very cool to go back and hear some of the voices from the past and see how differently the game was broadcast back then. I mean, my God, how did we ever survive without seeing 17 different angles of the Gillette Razor's Edge Foul Ball Of The Game?
(That said, while working my way through the Canadiens Greatest Games series, I do find myself looking for the on-screen clock and score. I don't miss the helmets, on-ice and boards advertising, the crawl at the bottom of the screen telling me the Sixers are leading the Knicks 2-0 14 seconds into the first quarter, or the animated channel logo. Or Bob Errey.)
