General Johnson, of the beach music trio "Charman Of The Board" passed away Wednesday.

A giant, or deserved to be considered a giant, at least. I love what he and the other Invictus artists did in the '70s ... actually means more to me personally than '60s Motown ... and while I'm glad that they found longterm success in the beach scene, I kind of wish that people spoke of The Chairmen Of The Board with the same reverence as they do The Temptations and Four Tops and Isleys. They were that great. Rest in peace, General.

But he wasn't an "artist"... he couldn't play an instrument and only co-wrote 7 songs during his career. :lol:
