I've been reading some of the drawing threads and thought it'd be cool to post some stuff up. To be different I thought I'd post up stuff from high school days. (I graduated in '83) This way I can embarass myself and be able to laugh about it.

I read a lot of X-Men back then.

I really like that viking pic.

I even came up with my own characters. This is one I did a lot of drawings of. He was a native american and could teleport. The name was blackout or black owl, depending on what grade you asked me in.

The two below the next one are just drawings, no character, no backstory.

That's some pretty cool stuff. I like the Colossus especially.

I like the light and shadow work on the Thing drawing. Getting good looking highlights and shadows in a drawing is sometimes difficult, but this really looks nice.

Your Kitty Pryde has some definite Paul Smith vibe going on, and I really dig the composition of the Colossus shot.

I think Paul was doing the book when I did that sketch. I tried to find things I could verify that Yes, I did them in high school. I'm going to look for some newer stuff to post and may do some just for IMWAN.
