Our first release from the Niji Entertainment Group will be a 2 CD set of never before released live Dio from 1983 and 1987! It sounds AMAZING and will be in stores on 10/26/10!

It'll be great to finally have an official live release with some Vivian Campbell playing on it. Long overdue.

Yes, this should be cool-most likely some King Biscuit sources for some of it.

I guess I blocked it out for some reason. Truth to hell, I'd like to hear a full CD culled from the three tours that Campbell performed on. Although Craig Goldy was no slouch. All told, this will be a CD from my favorite Dio era and it'll be interesting to hear the album.

Previously, the only live album of the original "Dio" line-up was the rare Japanese "Live Tracks" bonus disc with a Nippon Phonogram 4-CD box set which gathered Dio's first 3 albums. The selections on "Live Tracks" had previously appeared on UK 12" singles.

They're not wasting any time with the posthumous releases, that's for sure. I wonder if the Heaven & Hell live DVD will still be coming out.

Supposedly, Dio had been in the studio working on it. I imagine there'll be a tribute to Ronnie on it when it comes out.

I thought Evil Eyes came out on Last in Line...

It did but they played some stuff they were still working on that first tour. Lots of bands did that back then and some do now. Thin Lizzy's version of "Hollywood" from the 1981 tour before Renegade came out is so completley different lyrically it's not even close to what ended up on the album. Not sure how different this version of "Evil Eyes" will be.

Believe me, I remember when RUSH would test drive new material before the new album popped up. Seeing them at Radio City Music Hall in 1983 before Grace Under Pressure came out was great...we heard about 3 new songs. I didn't know DIO did that back then as well.
