In recent weeks I've had another outbreak of eczema on my hands. Usually it just appears on certain spots on my fingers. This time I got it on the back of my left hand and on the underneath side of my right arm. I've kept it doctored, and now it's finally going away. Until next time. Wish I knew how not to get it, but apparently it's something I inherited from Mom.

Daphne, I've had it somewhere on my body almost steady since I was 12. For me it's a stress rash, and a little scratching, or rubbing from clothing can bring it about. The best advice I can give you is just don't scratch. And get some hydrocortisone cream.

But it does palliate it so that I don't scratch too much. I guess it's a stress rash for me too.

Palliate.
A word I have never used.

Aveeno has a nice oatmeal based cream. The ointment is usually too greasy for me.
