Anybody else find it suspicious that he bought the winning lotto ticket in the convenience store that he just started working in?

If the lottery commission says he won, he won. They know when there is a winner and where the ticket was sold immediately because all the numbers and sales are logged and tracked and manage. He might be able to forge a ticket that looks like a winner, but it wouldn't pass muster.

Pretty much.
In fact, I'm pretty sure forging lottery tickets is a felony. It's a crime, at the very least, as I recall a story a few years ago about some crusty trash lady being brought up on charges for it. I'll see if I can dig it up, just in case I'm talking out of my ass.

Well, I guess he could invest part of his winnings in renting the store and some film gear and making a foul-mouthed little indie movie. Then he'd REALLY be rolling in the dough. Although even that wouldn't spare him the humiliation of getting bumped off of airplanes once in a while.
