Read the first issue last night. It was very enjoyable.

Its roughly set from issue 1-4 with the most concentration being on the Hulk holding up the mountain. With a heavy concentration on Spider-man and his interaction with others.

I know the premise has been pissed on a lot. But the execution. It took me right back to that place in time when I discovered comics via Secret Wars. Just a fun, fun issue. I have not read Secret Wars in 20 years, so the memory is probably better than the execution of the original series. But this touched all the right buttons that I remember form the original series.

Heres a more detailed review for those interested.

Anyone else pick this up? Are you enjoying it?

I read the first issue, too - Wasn't the Hulk holding up the mountain in issue 4?

The thing that amazed me was that in the credits, there was no mention of Shooter, Zeck & Layton. That pissed me off, actually. But the book itself was well-done.

Oh, you mean the first issue of this mini covers 1-4 of the orginal. Gotcha.

I didn't look at the credits box. Surprised they didn't mention the original series.

I thought this was a fun read... proper credit should have been given tough...

Hulk holding up the mountain (and Spider-Man's line: "Right under Galactus' NOSE?") is about all I remember. I never read the whole thing.

The art, while different, was consistent enought that it grew on me.
