The TZ movie seemed to suffer the same illness as Spielberg's Amazing Stories of Spielberg show. While you watched it, you were aware that the directors/writers were painfully aware that they were producing an homage.
I much prefered the Twilight Zone second series that began in 1985. Spielberg's show was supposed to be the big thing that year, but after one or two episodes I could see that it was going to be saccharine sweet. I'll take the 85 TZ series DVD over the TZ movie or Spielberg's stuff.

"The Odyssey of Flight 33" (Rod Serling) - A 747 hits a freak jetstream and is sent back in time. This is the first episode that really would have benefited from being an hour rather than a half hour. It's an interesting premise and the characters are nicely established, but it doesn't feel like there's enough time for them to really react to what's happening to them. Even with that flaw, it's nearly saved by a strong ending.

That Bruce Willis one - "To see the invisible man" - was great.

Heh, my wedding anniversary is Twilight Zone weekend. Makes a certain kind of sense.

I've watched plenty of Twilight Zone and I have no idea what the hell you are talking about. Feel free to cue me in too.

It was an episode of the original Twilight Zone, remade for Twilight Zone: The Movie, AND a sequel to it was made for one of the later Twilight Zone series.

They just don't know that for three years, on and off, that I used Li'l Anthony as an avatar. And will again. I have about 20 of them.

Some of my favorites are some of the more obscure ones... like "The Hunt."

I always thought that kid in Jay's avatar was from Andy Griffith.
