1. Daniel Merriweather - "The Fifth Season" (unreleased 1st album)
2. The VIPs - complete recordings (aka a reissue of their "Beat Crazy" comp)
3. second volumes of Ace Records' "In The Naked City" and "New York Soul Serenade" VA comps
4. Lynne Randell - complete recordings (though I'd settle for any decent comp containing her best CBS recordings)
5. Candy - s/t
6. The Plimsouls - reissue of "The Plimsouls...Plus"
7. Dee C. Lee - a compilation
8. Hoagy Lands - a compilation
9. Linda Jones - complete loma/warner/atco & blue cat recordings (though I'd settle for anything with a decent tracklisting & decent sound)
10. Doris Troy - complete 1960-1967 recordings (though I'd settle for anything containing her complete Atlantic singles)
11. Dean Parrish - a compilation
12. Paley Brothers - complete recordings ? (still waiting for the expanded reissue that American Beat was supposed to be doing earlier this year...)
13. The Family - s/t
14.&15. Etta James - "Second Time Around" and "Etta James" albums
16. Baby Washington - complete Neptune & ABC recordings (with decent sound)
17. A Cameo/Parkway "northern soul" compilation
18. A Loma Records "northern soul" compilation
19. Evie Sands - an early recordings (pre-A&M) comp
20. Jean Wells - complete Argon productions recordings (there was the "Soul On Soul" comp that came out in 1994 that would have sufficed but I stupidly didn't buy it while it was in print)
21. Christopher Williams - a compilation

I'd like to see all of those Bob Dylan odds and ends that have popped up over the years compiled into one convenient CD package.

So I can delete them all from my iPod.

I just remembered 1 more.....

Even thought I think it would be only 7 tracks, a compilation of the Bangles original EP and single.....much more garagy/60's before the MTV glitz......(as an 8th track, add on their B-side cover of "Where Were You When I Needed You"...can't find it on a good compilation)

Yes, I have all of those, but I think there is a lot of room for improvement.

DVD
Kate Bush, Godley & Creme, Saint Etienne -- comprehensive DVDs of music videos (all regions, please!)

CD
Bangles material Charles referenced above
Buckingham-Nicks
Beatles -- Anthology IV (with tracks like "Goodbye," "Sour Milk Sea," the five minute version of "She's A Woman" where Paul goes wild at the end, that 10-minute version of "Revolution" and etc. Yes, these have been bootlegged, but here's hoping that the guys at EMI could make them sound better than what's out there.)
Woody Herman -- Chick, Donald, Walter & Woodrow
B-sides and remix collections from any artist or group with enough of them to fill a CD. Sting and Peter Garbriel come to mind but there are plenty of others.

And the 27 minute "Helter Skelter"

I'd also like to see Let It Be get a "special edition" DVD release.

I've posted lists of rock albums not on cd several times here, so this time I'll just mention Sony's unreleased Ellington; mostly 30's & some 50's.

Ironically I think the 3 most requested cd's from us 40-50 y olds that mostly frequent this board are so available on very high quality boots for free on the internet that it's practically killed the market for them!

Neil Young - Time Fades Away
Neil Young - Journey Through The Past
Buckingham Nicks

Wait a minute, did I really say that??? :ohno: :ohno:

What a joke; 80% of Ice (including me) will still buy the damn things if/when they ever see official cd! :sigh:
