One of my fave power-pop bands of all-time the new remastered Japan only boxset has been finally been released.
I have E-Mailed the label (Air Mail Recordings) on ordering instructions and will post their response for others of interest.
This label is very reputable and I was very happy with the reissues of another fave power-pop band the "Pezband" reissues.

I have all the originals CDs (and albums) when they came back out way back in the mid late 80's so the remastered releases will be most welcomed.

I'm so excited!

New Shoe's Japanese Box set Re-Issue coming!

Coming August 5th, Air Mail Recordings in Japan will re-issue the albums "Present Tense", "Tongue Twister" and "Boomerang" on CD with additional Bonus tracks and the "Shoes On Ice" live EP.
This 4-disc set will be available August 5th in a deluxe box set. Air Mail Recordings always does a fantastic job in packaging and presentation, so we're really excited to see these songs
made available in Japan (many for the first time)!

What artist are you talking about?

The Shoes.

The Shoes were a staple of old MTV in the first few years, especially "Cruel You". I'm not a big fan but I liked a few songs. In that description above they are referred to as The Shoe's which is incorrect-hope that's not a bad sign for the boxset!

You could pre-order it off a guy on eBay (with good ratings) for a few months now for about $105. Not sure how that compares to other retailers, but keep it in mind.

Air Mail does FANTASTIC work, and they have actual power pop experts on staff. (As weird as that sounds. )

So true Linda, which is why I believe the Shoes chose them for their reissue program. As I noted earlier, their "Pezband" reissues were fantastic!

Ran into a wall trying to get this so I contacted Jeff Murphy of "The Shoes" and mentioned not getting contact from Air Mail recording via E-Mail communication. He said he would take care of it and before you know it I am being contact by Hiro of Air Mail quoting price and availablity.
