The Beatles: Rock Band intro (Cinematic Trailer - Animated Promo) HD

(I wish I had the slightest interest in video games. I have to admit that this DOES look pretty cool.)

I posted this awhile back in the monster Beatle threads. Pretty awesome.

I think this will bring a lot of Beatlemaniacs into videogames for the first time. Even if you don't want to do the plastic instrument thing, you can still sing 'em (three part harmony, even!)

Trust me, you DON'T want to hear me sing! :(

Rock Band is lame. There's more inventive things to do with plastic after drinking some wine...

It's brought countless young people into classic rock & roll and exposed them to good music that they would have never heard otherwise. It's inspired people to pick up real guitars and drum sets. It's made some indie musicians a lot of money and gotten bands like AC/DC and Aerosmith huge paychecks in a down economy.

When bands can't sell a damn CD anymore, venues like Rock Band are the future.

Just because you don't care for it, does not make it lame. It is absolutely good for music.

Wow-a little touchy dude? Just because you love it doesn't mean it's awesome. It is lame to me.It's virtually impossible on here anymore to voice an opinion so I'll give up.
I play an instrument and have since I was 13. I'm not a virtuoso, but I can play and write a little. I know a lot of kids who are good musicians from coming in my store over the years and they hate the idea of Guitar Hero and Rock Band. They actually PLAY instruments.
Other kids who can't play-it's just an extension of any other video game involving hand/eye coordination.
I'm glad Aerosmith and AC/DC have gotten huge paychecks because they really needed it.
The best way a kid gets exposed to music-he goes through his brother or Dad or sister's collection from years ago puts something on-hears it and likes it and says, "Hey I want to play drums or guitar or keyboards or whatever" and takes lessons.
It's not from playing with an overpriced piece of plastic. I do not see any musical value at all other than some kid saying he liked a song he heard and then he's just going to steal it on the internet anyway.I don't know what lazy-ass kid sitting in front of his TV has been inspired to go out and play an instrument because of these stupid games. I'd ask the kids in my store who played the game, and not a one said they had any interest in music-they just played the game.
The exposure for any band is good with the kids I agree there, but it's a marginal help for bands. if they get money from it and more than a CD sale, good for them, they deserve more money I guess. That's my opinion and I can't change it because you think Rock Band has saved the industry. Please realize I just don't care for it-that's all. If you like it, good for you.

 And yet you go on for paragraphs more. Debate if you want, but save the martyrdom. There is no "invisible IMWAN hand" preventing you from believing what you want to believe, but don't expect everyone to go along with it.

I actually do think AC/DC needed the dough. Their last album bit it and the tour wasn't as big as they wanted it to be. As far as Aerosmith goes, they've gone on record saying that the game earned them more money than any of their albums.

Also, check this out:

If you don't think this will be a great help for indie musicians, then I can't help you.

Also - what kind of store do you manage? A music store? It really is interesting to hear your perspective.
