I decided against the Neil Young box but still decided to get a box set. What"s your favorite?

My favorite boxed set is Rhino’s One Kiss Can Lead To Another: Girl Group Sounds Lost & Found. 4 CDs full of quality material.
And, unlike boxed sets from artists I collect, I don’t have the majority of these songs on other CDs.
As a bonus, it is a great package and really compliments the music.

I also am a big fan of Girl Group Sounds. Yet another winner in Rhino's tradition of great soul boxes.

Favorite box...him...right now I'm enjoying Waylon's Nashville Rebel

The Beatles stereo box. I know it's not out yet, but I can vouch for the music :)

There are two many great ones to pick my fave. Here are a few, in no particular order:

CSN
Jimmy Buffett: Boats, Beaches Babes and Bars (or something like that)
The Band
Lloyd Cole: Cleaning the Ashtrays
Allman Brothers Band

I'll probably think of something else as soon as I post this.

Multi-artist box sets tend to get more play from me, just for the variety. My overall favorite would be Rhino's No Thanks! punk-rock box, and their 60s and 70s soul collections.

Bob Dylan--"Biograph"
Played this again recently from start to finish. The first boxed set ever and still the best. Tons of material still unavailable elsewhere. The only knock I come up with against this set is how it (obviously) doesn't incorporate any Dylan material recorded after 1985, although I would never alter the famously non-chronological (and perfect) tracklisting.

Robert Meagher, which Jimi Hendrix box. The purple velvet or the old Reprise with commentary or the 4 CD concert box?

My all time favorite is Back to Mono. Phil Spector is the only artist I rate higher than the Beach Boys.

my personal favorite is the CSN box set, because it has about 26 or so unreleased things, plus it has many of the popular songs.

for all-encompassing sets though the steely dan and the police cover everything up to that point in the band's career, literally nothing is missing form any album.

for a mixed bag, i love the "nuggets" set, tons of great great 60's songs.

I still haven't bought the CSN box, but with 26 unreleased songs, I'll get it, the full 4CD version, that is.

I forgot about the Steely Dan box. Before getting the box, I only knew the hits, and didn't realize how many terrific songs they had that weren't hits.

Aside from Rikki Don't Lose That Number, Reelin' in the Years, and Do it Again, all of which I like a lot, I can't really remember any other Dan song, and I used to own a number of their CD's, but I lost interest in them some time in the '90s. I think I'll get the early comp of theirs, the one with the lady wearing shades.

I like pretty much the whole Aja record. Also, Home Again is a terrific song that you'll never hear on the radio.
