I know this has been discussed in the proper thread in From the Vaults, but I'm curious. The Neil Young box comes out on Tuesday (unless he pulls it at the last minute). Are you buying it? If so, what format?

Oh good - I thought this thread might be about funeral pre-arrangements. Anyway, I don't think I'm springing for this huge set. He should've released it years ago when we could all afford it!

Nope..."old Neil" waited far too long to do this and this is far too big of a package. More packages and smaller increments, maybe. This and the current economy...no way.

nope.

already have 2 of them and really only want one (trhe CSNY stuff) more unless he decides to put "journey through the past" on the CD set at the last minute.

probably won't buy the next one either unless he puts "time fades away" on there.

Maybe - I never had much NY - I only have Decade on CD. It would only be the CD version, though. What's the best price?

Not really a NY fan, and even if I was I'd never buy this. I couldn't live with myself knowing I spent hundreds of dollars on crap I didn't care about that much as a true fan who owned most of this already.

I like a lot of Neil's stuff, but I'm not springing for this. There are really too many other
things for me to spend money on.

Maybe cd. Guess I have to decide by Monday to get the preorder price at BB............ I agree with Renny, I'd be more open to this with Journey Through The Past On It (though I do own a superb needle drop).

This is also going to be competing for my LIMITED dollars with the 2 Woodstock boxes (CD & DVD), + the Woodstock 2 cd sets.

If the CD version shows up at 'Rama, I suppose I won't be able to resist.

Sorry, there's an ACTUAL poll about this in the Vaults section. I'm an idiot.

This release does scream Blu-ray obviously considering what blu-ray brings to the table. The CD version just won't cut it for me so I'll have to see if some money free's up.
