There policies allow them to steal $'s from sellers at any time.

I've been a Pay Pal seller for years; i.e. I'm not going anywhere.

Today i had an item not received "dispute" filed by a customer from France. Pay Pal agreed it was obvious he had me confused with another company called "PC Tools". Additionally, the cd he did buy from me was 7 days ago, not long enough to arrive in France. Nonetheless, Pay Pal is allowing the "dispute" & refuses to return my $19.24 unless the "buyer" agrees. I have paid for the item, paid for the postage & been charged the ebay fees, but I'm out $19.00 until.........?

If there hadn't been $19.24 in my Pay pal account at THAT MOMENT, they would have also reversed my last PP bank deposit.

$19 may not sound like much, but in this recession........

I HATE PAYPAL.

PayPal is an eBay company, after all, with the same (lack of) customer service.

What irritates me about PayPal is their ridiculous 45-day time limit on filing disputes. There have been several times when I've gone back and forth with a seller in a good-faith attempt to resolve an issue, and it has taken more than 45 days to finally come to the conclusion that things weren't going to work out. Especially with purchases from another country, I don't see how PayPal can think 45 days from the date of sale is enough time. Fortunately my credit card company is much more reasonable and has no problem issuing me a credit once I show them my complaint is valid. (Amusingly, after my credit card company credits my account, PayPal e-mails me to let me know they're looking into the dispute they had previously denied as untimely. Like I care what they do at that point.)

It takes 9 days up to three weeks before orders arrive in The Netherlands from the US, and we have a good function mail system.
Filing a complaint after 7 days is ridiculous.

Furthermore, I recall that the dates for complaints do not sync up between was PayPal says
and what eBay says. I can't say for certain anymore, but when I had problems with a seller,
I waited in good faith as eBay recommended, only to find out afterwards that PayPal's time
limit was different. WTF? (Maybe they have sync them since; it's been a few years.)

I've been very happy to have given up eBay, and resent having to use PayPal.

Pay Pal SHOULDN'T ALLOW this to happen. They made in clear in multiple phone conversations this week that there #1 concern is protecting Pay Pal.

As an fyi, this customer finally admitted he made a mistake & i got my money. That however was followed by Pay Pal telling me to ship on another order before a credit card payment had cleared at there end (they indicated it was a completed payment) & now they've put a hold on that payment..............
