I liked it. I liked the original recipe better, but I will buy this on occasion.

I don't believe it's really grilled unless it has grill marks.

Funnily enough, a few years ago McDonald's got into a massive shitstorm with thei new Grilled Chicken burger.

They even had an at the time hot Neighbours starlet promoting it, along with shots of the real grills in actions.

Turns out it was just normal meat, stamped with a brand pre-frozed so it looked grilled.

Big media Shitstorm ensued.

Yes. Applying stripes of brown coloring does not constitute "grilling." McDonalds deserved what it got.

Kentucky Fried Chicken had its line of "Rotisserie Gold" chicken many years back. THAT was good stuff.

Those briefs aren't stained, honey. They're "grilled".

I want a return to the breaded, original recipe SKINLESS chicken.

Me, too. That's one reason I like the new Original Recipe Chicken Tenders they have. Being a chicken tender, it had to lose the skin. But you get the breading and taste of Original Recipe. You should try it.

You didn't have that? I think it was kind of in response to Kenny Rogers Roasters.

Rotisserie Gold was marinated and flavored with a topical coating, and sold as a whole
roasted chicken (or half, I think). It didn't fly at KFC because it was difficult for the
franchises to prepare. It was replaced with "Tender Roast," which was separate pieces.

Do they still have Tender Roast?

They have Tender Roast here

The Rotisserie Gold was good, but like Beach said, it was difficult to prepare and even harder to keep whole chickens cooked and ready. Many stores ran out early because they were afraid of cooking too many birds and losing money. Nice marinade, too; honey, some paprika, and some lime juice, I think.

There are several grocery stores around here that carry rotisserie chickens in their deli departments. You just need to know when the fresh ones are coming out of the kitchen.

I used to live off grocery store rotisserie chicken while at college.
The grocery store was like half a block from the place I was renting.
After school, I'd pick one up, head home, eat half, and put the other
half in the fridge for the next day. Good stuff.

Plus, the real secret of the rotisserie chickens in grocery stores is
that they
• get to use up chickens that are still good (but close to last day of sale)
• they get that smell into the store to make people hungry while they are shopping

I still do eat a lot of the grocery story rotisserie chickens. Good stuff.

We get the rotisserie chickens at Costco. Very good deal.

Hey. I only knew about the new grilled chicken because you posted about
Free Chicken Day.

Since then, I have been back to KFC twice more.
Got Original Recipe at the Buffet, and got original recipe chicken strips.
