Sorry to be MIA for so long, but I had a computer die on me, and I was actually without one for a brief while...and lemme tell ya, the email really backs up when that happens!

But I'm all caught up now, and I thought that I should make a few announcements here.

First three issues are plotted -- and I'll be finishing the fourth and final plot in June. First issue is penciled and scripted, and James is finishing up the pencils of issue #2.

Oh that looks incredibly awesome. Just added it to my G-Mart subscription.

(And, given the rolled eyes I get everytime I watch the Army of Darkness DVD, I can just imagine the ridicule Dee Dee's going to give me when she sees me reading these!)

The on-sale date for DARKMAN vs THE ARMY OF DARKNESS #1 is August 30th...so, baring some unforeseen mishap, we should see it in less than a week.

(And just in case something does go awry, I'll just mention that James and I were finished with our work on the first issue 'way back in mid-May.)

I put it on my pull list months ago, but I think I listed it as "Darkman". That should be close enough for my dealer to reserve me a copy, but I'll keep an eye out just in case.

I haven't bought a comic in months, but I am SO getting this on Wednesday.

BTW, I wonder if mention is made that Darkman took an appearance at the end of the first movie that closely resembles Ash?

I went to a comic shop today, and they said it didn't come in. Anyone pick this up?

I get my comics through mail order, so I won't be able to read it for about a month or so, but the online store says I got it.

Has anyone seen issue #1 yet?

I haven't, and I was wondering if it's across the board or just due to some local delay.

I went today, but didn't see a copy. The owner says he ordered a few for subscribers and a couple for the shelf, so he just hasn't gotten it yet.

...from the publisher is that the first issue should ship at the end of September due to "various delays"...apparently on their end or the studios', since -- as posted last month, James & I finished our part of issue #1 back in May.

If anyone hears more before I do, feel free to post it here.
