I'm not Irish but Thin Lizzy is me favorite band-and crank them up I shall on this day, as well as some U2, Van Morrison, Boomtown Rats, Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore-and yes, it will be time to watch some of the Leprechaun films-true cinematic genius! "Where's me gold?" I says, or maybe I says this from Leprechaun 2: "She sneezes once, She sneezes twice, She'll be me bride, when she sneezes thrice"

All that sneezing reminds me of my Irish bride!

I always play these two on St. Pat's: John Lennon/Yoko Ono "Luck of the Irish" Paul McCartney & Wings "Give Ireland Back To The Irish".

Hey, that reminds me of a line from Black 47's "Rockin' The Bronx"! BTW, they were an excellent NYC Irish band whose leader came from the almost unknown, but wonderful, Major Thinkers!

God, how I miss this band. But, I take care of it by listening to them so very much. Especially on St. Patty's Day!

This is the 1st St. Patty's Day in 4 years that I won't be at a Pogues concert (they decided to scrap the east coast tour this year). Last year's was great at the 9:30 Club in Washington CD. Here's one I saw a few nights earlier..... 3/13/09, Roseland Ballroom, NYC - A Pair Of Brown EyesVIDEO Tonight, I'm going to the Penguins/Devils game in Newark.

Did that when I was in college -- trust me, the green eggs were a lot better for you than the God-awful $1 pitcher beer!
