Last week I bought the John and Yoko set and loved it. Today I finally got the Rock Icons set...wow!!!! Right now I'm watching the show that aired the day after Woodstock....Jefferson Airplane doing 3 songs, Joni Mitchell doing 4, plus a last minute stop-in from Stephen Stills and David Crosby. Stills performs 4 + 20 and Crosby does Somebody To Love with J. Airplane. This is amazing stuff. There are 9 complete shows and the rest features Janis Joplin, Sly Stone, Stevie Wonder, George Harrison, Paul Simon, and David Bowie. I can't believe I waited so long to get this.

Also I finally decided that I need to get the dvd set of the Mike Douglas Show which features John and Yoko hosting for an entire week, but it seems to be out of print and I didn't see it on ebay either....grrrrr

I love that Cavett set. One of my favorite things about it is that you get the whole show so you have some surreal guest line-ups, a crazed rocker, a southern politician and an author or something like that.

You might also want to check out the Tom Snyder Punk set. Some really good stuff there too.

Yeah, I mentioned that on the ICE forum when it first came out. I loved it. I'm looking forward to the next Snyder set. It comes out pretty soon!!

The Kesey show! I can't wait for that. I almost forgot it was due.

Sept.26 according to Amazon.

I can remember staying up in my dorm, hooking my cassette deck to the tv so that I could record the Dead performances. Sounded like crap but I still have that cassette.

By the way, has anyone noticed that the signatures have disappeared? Or can I just not see them?

I'm a huge fan of the Cavett DVDs. The one of Ray Charles is great as well. BTW Zane, don't forget to take a look at the '72 Rolling Stones material as well. I keep hoping and praying that some full '72-'73 vintage Taylor-Era footage makes it to DVD one of these times.
Federico, I'm going to have to talk to you about the Grateful Dead/Kesey footage you just mentioned.

Steve, I read somewhere that there was much more Stones footage on the original broadcast of the Cavett show, but for this release, they would only agree to let partial songs be included.

Linda, Thanks - I don't know how I managed to turn that off.

Did I miss the Cavett-Stones? I went looking but I can't find anything.

Was it ever released on D.V.D.? I thought it was only out on video cassette.

I think it did come out on dvd a couple of years ago. I did finally check ebay about it and I saw only one copy on there and it was for a dvd set and the starting bid was $60.00.
