I was a huge Badger fan back in the day... and this article indicates that IDW will be bringing the character back! Get your truffles out and party, people!

I really liked the early issues of Badger a lot, but I lost interest as the series progressed. I managed to pick up a buch of issues at 3/$1 in one of those "Everything's a Dollar" stores.

I tried the black-and-white comeback attempts in the mid-90's, but I wasn't too thrilled with them either.

I wasn't that happy with the 90's black-and-white revival, either.

I liked the original Capital/First series a lot, though. I agree that the early issues were the best, but I really liked it all. It had some great off-the-wall humor, and the Badger was a fun character. (Besides, I HAD to like it - I'm from Wisconsin!!)

IDW seems to be reviving all the First Comics properties one by one. I really liked First, so this certainly makes me happy. There's some great characters there, and I hope that IDW can find an audience for them.

Who's next - Nexus, maybe? Whisper?

Nexus was cool. The story quality also kind of waned a bit, but as long as Steve Rude was doing the art, I was pretty happy. I've only got a few of the early issues.

I think the last Nexus stuff I bought was The Wages of Sin ( or was it Hammer of God: Pentathlon ?

I'd buy a Whisper TPB. The only issues I've managed to get don't really form a cohesive storyline.

I've tried to subscribe to Steven Grant's Whisper mailing list a couple of times to no avail. ( ...hoping for some new stories.. or some news on reprint volumes...)

I thought Nexus already was supposed to be in the works?

I didn't know there was a '90s b&w version of the Badger (i was in college and too poor to buy comics)... and you're right... those first dozen or so issues were the best.

Still, I have high hopes. I love superheroes with split personalities.... Moon Knight, the Badger... any others?

My most memorable image of a Badger moment is when he killed a demon by mincing it with two cleavers like Martin Yan. And his line, "I met God. He's a Badger."

y'all are just trying to make me feel better...it was one of my less-talented double posts. No class, no style. Not even any boobies.

But we know you'll make up for lack of boobies by double posting in the Wanderground.

See, I was gonna make that exact same joke. And I wouldn't have fumbled it either.

God you're lame, Ian. I swear...
