"This weekend Zucchero’s official fanclub had its fifth annual fan gathering, and as always, Zucchero took the stage to play his biggest hits, as well as some older, often ignored material (who would’ve thought the 1981 single Una Notte Che Vola Via would ever be played again). Also, like several times before, the sugar man came with some news: this coming November should see the release of dvds of both the San Siro concert of this year, and the Verona concerts of last year. A Verona dvd was scheduled to be released late 2007, but Universal Music pulled the plug, and instead went with the video clip anthology. Of course, no official release date(s) are available, so until then nothing is official."

updated info, 2 DVD + @ CD set late November

2 CDs + 2 DVDs entitled LIVE IN ITALY will be released on 28 November. It’s the first genuinely LIVE work by Zucchero in his career, preceded by the single UNA CAREZZA, an original track written entirely by Zucchero, a very emotional ballad dedicated to his mum Rina Fornaciari née Bondavalli.
This is the first of a series of original songs taken from LIVE IN ITALY which will be released at the same time all over the world and will be officially presented to the media on 27 November.
At the end of an unprecedentedly long tour, a wonderful and successful tour, with devoted audiences everywhere, with a great band, with as many as 207 concerts in different continents from 1 May 2007 to 20 December 2008, around a year and 7 months "on the road" in Europe, North America and Canada, South America, Australia, North Africa, in beautiful and unusual locations such as Turkey, Morocco, Armenia, Jordan, the islands of Mauritius and Reunion, the Canary Islands, Malta and many countries in eastern Europe, in prestigious Arenas and Theatres such as Olympia (Paris), Royal Albert Hall (London), Carnegie Hall (New York), Petra (Jordan) and Hyde Park (London), or magic places like the Verona Arena and San Siro Stadium, Zucchero has decided to perform the last concerts of this long period in Italy in December, and then it’s “arrivederci” until next year at least.
