I thought I'd share the cover to a book I penciled, featuring a couple of characters co-created with Gary Carlson. The cover was inked by Mike Royer and the book will be solicited in the February Previews, and on the stands in April.

Here's a low-res of the b/w cover art:

And here's a shot of the cover (sans-mast and text) coloured by Randy "Sarge" Sargent:

It was a fun project and all involved put a lot of work into it.
Here's hoping it's met with favor.

I love the look, Joe. I don't know if the story will be my cup of tea, but nice, nice job!

Well, there's no way to know whether the story will appeal to you unless you read that, James. Gary Carlson is a fun writer whose work I've admired for years - I highly recommend his Big Bang Comics. Still, I appreciate your honesty and comments.

On another note, I have something IMWAN4 related for you which needs to be scanned in. I'll make a point to do so soon and send that your way.

Thanks, Ian! I think it's all pretty cool as well, and hope there's interest enough to warrant additional stories. If not, working with Gary Carlson, Mike Royer, Sarge and others on this book definitely made for a worthwhile experience :)

I like the rough feel of Jack Kirby in there. Interesting concept for sure!

Thanks, Mark! That Kirby 70's vibe, both storywise and artwise, is exactly what we were hoping for.
